Nautical Gin-Ginger-Kombucha Gimlet!

Seacoast Lately was recently presented with a challenge. When a situation like this comes up, includes friendly competition, gets our creative juices flowing, and incorporates local products (like Nautical Gin), we almost ALWAYS say “yes”. I teamed up with my friend Morgan Avery — a healthy recipe-making guru who hails from The Fresh Press in Portsmouth. We wanted to put a unique spin on our recipe, and below is what we mustered up!

A note from Morgan… “This drink is amazing for gut health, at least as far as cocktails go! Ginger is incredibly beneficial for digestion, as is the probiotic drink, kombucha. I would drink it and as a non-drinker that’s saying a lot!”

Are you ready to give the Ginger-Kombucha Gimlet a try??

Ingredients (Serves 2)

½ cup Nautical Gin

2 oz. fresh lime juice

2 oz. agave nectar

Splash of ginger juice*

Splash of kombucha**

Instructions

Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Add the gin, lime juice, agave nectar, ginger juice. Shake for 20 seconds, then strain into two glasses. Finish with a splash of kombucha.

*We used freshly juiced ginger root, but recommend this brand if a juicer is not available to you. Add another splash if you’re looking for an extra kick!

**We’re into this ginger-lemon kombucha, but you can use another brand or flavor. Sparkling water is a great substitution too.

A note from the makers…
“Your next adventure begins with Nautical Gin. We searched the world to find the most exotic ingredients – and our discovery of more than 10 unique botanicals led to an exceptional new gin with notes of citrus and spice. To round out the bold taste experience, a rare coastal botanical – the inspiration for our name – delivers a subtle hint of sea salt. Enjoy Nautical Gin on the rocks, with tonic or in your favorite class gin cocktail. May every glass you raise salute your never-ending spirit of exploration and adventure”. -Nautical Gin

Thank you to Nautical Gin for partnering with us on this post!
